Never Enough Garage Space For Everything
A local customer came to us recently with these exact problems. They had what they considered an oversized garage but quickly realized, oversized for most was actually undersized for them.
One of the main things this customer wanted was adequate storage space towards the rear of their garage. We offered them several ideas from framing in a raised loft area, to full wall shelving on either side of the garage, and also a mezzanine.
The Best Idea For This Garage Was A Mezzanine
After determining that wall shelves and a loft would not be the best option, they decide on a mezzanine along the back wall. We built a stair access on one side and a large area below the deck for storing miscellaneous items. In the end, their garage mezzanine worked out best for the size of their garage.
If you are interested in revamping your garage to add more storage space without having to add on to your garage, consider a mezzanine or a lofted storage space. Both provide plenty of additional storage space at a fraction of the cost. Compared to adding on to your garage, a lofted space or mezzanine is an excellent option.
